Let the Sunshine in

O Man, do you see those shores upon which

Infinite sand grains reside?

O Woman, do you see those stars that light

up the sky amidst the shadows of the

Earth?

Though some have eyes, they cannot see

So tell them to let the sunshine in.

O Man, do you hear the birds at the crack

Of dawn when the skies are painted red

with the rising sun?

O Woman, do you hear the Earth’s pulse as

you place your naked feet on the

naked ground?

Though some have ears, they cannot hear

So tell them to let the sunshine in.

O man, do you feel the cries of the young

ones that were buried beneath the rubble

by those with Deep pockets and short

hands?

O Woman, do you feel the absence of that

newborn Whose tiny hands could hold the

world?

Though some have hearts, they cannot feel

So tell them to let the sunshine in.
