Igiti Cy’umuntu

I yearn for a mountain untouched by the tides of change

For once I land on it,

I’ll earn the peace that grows from the heart.

I yearn for freedom!

A revolution.

Televised or not

For Capitalistic systems hold invisible cages.

I yearn for Liberty

For I’ve seen the kind become the blind

And the blind become the bind.

I yearn for peace

For I’ve been locked by the lawless

And hurt by the heartless.

I yearn for freedom

For if I know anything at all,

It is that a wall is just a wall

And nothing more at all

And that it can be broken.
